We are happy to report that Cerberus FTP Server 3.0.0 beta 1 is now available for download from the development page. This release incorporates lots of new features as well as many look and feel improvements. Version 3.0.0 beta adds group support, includes an auto-update feature, improves Vista support, adds new security features including support for checking client certificates against certificate authorities and revocation lists, incorporates a new bandwidth graph, and converts all settings from being stored in the registry and flat files to more portable xml-based configurations files. There is also support for several new client command extensions that have been added to the FTP spec or are currently in draft form. Finally, much of the underlying graphical user interface system has been rewritten to allow for more flexibility and the capability to more easily add future features and improvements, and a new, native 64-bit release is now available.

You can download the most recent beta now from the development page. We plan to update the beta release fairly frequently, and you will always be able to get the most recent version through the auto-update feature.
