Re: Cerberus FTP 5 to 6 and Win Server 2008R2 to 2012 issue

Worked like a charm! ... all in all it was an issue of me being lazy  With the old server, (and fewer ip's) I used to uncheck the interfaces I didn't want, mostly out of security reasons but now it just slipped my mind. Is it possible, in future releases, to add an option to bulk delete interfa...

Re: Cerberus FTP 5 to 6 and Win Server 2008R2 to 2012 issue

Currently running with 36 ip addressees spread evenly between 2 NICs, but on the interface side of Cerberus it shows 143 Interfaces. Regarding that .. is there any way to force it to select 1 particular ip and not load all interfaces on startup?

Re: Cerberus FTP 5 to 6 and Win Server 2008R2 to 2012 issue

Hmmm just checked now and you're right. It was set on Public Profile and didn't have that setting in the firewall option for Cerberus. I modified it but it still doesn't work. Turned off the firewall too, just to be on the safe side, and still .. no connection, no log, no nothing. LE: I tried a diff...

[SOLVED]Cerberus FTP 5 to 6 & Server 2008R2 to 2012 issue

Hello, I'm experiencing something that leaves me in a bit of a conundrum... Last week I changed an old server for a new one and also updated from windows 2008R2 to 2012 Standard. With this change came the switch from Cerberus 5.x to 6. Before this change of hardware/software the FTP server was runni...

Authentification of a user/client machine

Hello there, long time no post :) So .. long post short ... is it possible for a ftp server to verify a client machine also as a means to authenticate that user? (besides the password/certificate). Basically, if a user has a password and certificate, that get misplaced/stolen by a 3rd party ... and ...

Hanging on welcome message 4.0.7.7

Hello again, this one might be a bug or a feature, haven't decided on this myself :) ... what it basically does is this ... if you remove the welcome message and try to connect to the server it just shows in the client the version of cerberus and it stays like that until the connection times out. I ...

Re: Problems overwriting a file that is open in another proc

Actually, the new file locking mode for uploads is not enabled by default. You have to change a setting in the settings.xml config file at C:\ProgramData\Cerberus LLC\Cerberus FTP Server\settings.xml . Look for the tag noExclusiveWriteLock and change the value to true Sorry for not letting you know...

Hey, just a quick update. Saw the updated, tried it but still no dice, same error. For what it's worth, thank you for replaying and trying to find a fix.

Request Detailed statistics

On the statistics tab it would be very helpful if you could show lists for all users+ip that connected since the server started. Tracking who did what, where, when and from which ip proves to be difficult without this option. I can't find the main log anywhere and searching the log that's displayed ...

Re: Problems overwriting a file that is open in another proc

Good news is that it's not an exclusive lock on the file (in which case i too wouldn't want a ftp server to overwrite it). The file in question is called cmdacces.ini and it's part of amxmodx plugin for cs 1.6 servers. I use that plugin for a better administration on the servers. The file itself loo...

Re: Problems overwriting a file that is open in another proc

It's hlds.exe from counter strike 1.6. I'm using a mod for it called amxmodx and the plugin reads when the hlds.exe launches from that file to establish the access to of each admin. Well i don't know if it's client side or server side but if i use total commander as my ftp client, after it fails to ...

Re: Problems overwriting a file that is open in another proc

I know, but what bugs me is that i can overwrite that file if i'm not using cerberusftp, from remode desktop or in the past i used Serv-U ftp server. And i really don't want to go back to serv-u. Is there any way, any option in cerberus that can force the server to make the change? Since this is wor...
