Re: V3.0.3 eats all RAM Win7

Yes, here is the entire file: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <cerberus><interfaces version="1.0"><interface name="10.45.6.30"><requiresSecureData>false</requiresSecureData><requiresSecureControl>false</requiresSecureControl><dontUseExternalIPForLocal>true</dontUseExternalIPForLocal><passiveA...

Re: V3.0.3 eats all RAM Win7

Actually, deleting interfaces.xml DOES fix it, but only for the first run afterwards - obviously. When shutting down Cerberus, it writes back the file, and then the problem is back for the next run.

Re: V3.0.3 eats all RAM Win7

That is a negative from here... I uninstalled the previous version, installed the new one (build date 2009/09/17), and started it. Here is the log: [2009-09-17 09:08:14]: DEBUG [Server] - Beginning settings upgrade check [2009-09-17 09:08:14]: DEBUG [Server] - Settings upgrade check complete [2009-0...

Re: V3.0.3 eats all RAM Win7

Here is my log: First odd thing is that when I uninstalled the previous one, it apparently only shut down the interfaces, the application window just popped up and stayed there, showing the same thing as the log; it had shut down, but not exited: [2009-09-14 08:40:20]: DEBUG [Server] - The session i...

Re: V3.0.3 eats all RAM Win7

I just had another run (with "TRACE" in the xml): [2009-09-10 09:52:43]: DEBUG [Server] - Command Thread Started [2009-09-10 09:52:43]: DEBUG [Server] - TimerThread Started [2009-09-10 09:52:45]: DEBUG [Server] - LoadXML failure: The operation completed successfully. Then you should check the privileges on the share and the directory for that specific user. I have no other ideas...

Re: V3.0.3 eats all RAM Win7

I see the same problem with 304 on my english 32bit Vista Business SP1 (fully patched), dual core intel here at work - with lots of other stuff installed. I have tried to run filemon, lots of activity, but nothing supicious. I have also tried to observe it from procexp, but nothing pops out there ne...

Re: Error 521:access denied in domain space

That shared folder, is it accessible for the user that Cerberus is running as? This is an old "trap", the user is creating a net work drive "x:", but x: is unknown to the Cerberus program as it is running as a different user. I think it is indeed possible to enter the full path (\\server\share\dir) ...

Re: Problems with Symantec Firewall

I don't quite follow... Port range 11000 to 12000 on the Linksys router? I suppose the Linksys router is the one in front of the FTP server. Is that range the port range configured in Cerberus? I would sort of expect the range "1025-3500"...

Re: APPE bug.

To mimic the situation, you should use tcpview and cut only the tcp connection for the control connection instead of killing it off entirely.I have made some more tests with FileZilla, and the log from there shows that timing is very different from case to case, and I am sure that is the reason for ...

Re: APPE bug.

I tried the new version, it apparently is different. I see no file resets anymore, but rather FileZilla with fail the transfer completely (and it has to be restarted manually), but it does so significantly more often than the server earlier used to reset the file, so I don't really understand why it...

Re: APPE bug.

Great, I will try it out, and give it the same run. The file size I used was 5-600MB and another one at 1GB, not close to 4GB, but I guess is it a good idea to have it 64 bit in any case. :-) Oh, BTW, you write the "upcoming release 3.02", but that release is dated August 13, 2 days earlier than the...

Re: Entering PASV

I don't know much about mobile devices. I have made a general write-up of the ports involved in FTP, http://www.mdjnet.dk/ftp.html, it also has links to other pages that may be of interest. I am having trouble keeping it short, but I hope you can find useful information in there. :-)

Re: Entering PASV

Could you post a log for a single upload/download that succeeds? The QUIT command is not issued by the server, but the client. The reason is most likely that it cannot create the passive connection and it times out after 4 seconds. You should check and double-check your router configuration for port...

Re: ftp server not responding

The server is behind the router, right? Check, double-check and tripple-check you port forwarding in the router. You could also try to use port 80, that is the port most likely to work! :-)
