I have 2 computers at my house, and one of then is running Cerberus FTP Server.

It will work from inside the LAN, so i know my Norton isn’t blocking it, but outside my house it gets a Connection Timed Out error.

What I have done is set my router’s firewall to allow all IP addresses from 0.0.0.0 to 255.0.0.0 (aka all of them) and also allow all ports.

There is also an option on my router that says something about a FTP virtural server, it says that if your running an FTP server behind the router to enable it. So I did.

I still get the connection timed out error.

    please help! Thanks!

and perhaps I should mention that the log file says the request never even reached the server

Try forwarding port 21 to the PC with the FTP server on it. Make sure Cerberus has an interface listening on port 21.

You can actually use any port, just make sure the port you chose within Cerberus is the port you are forwarding from the router.
