    Good Morning,

We are using Cerberus FTP server. We found an interesting thing.

When FTP client login to their home directory, besides the files in that folder, they can see one more folder –> ‘..’ , that’s the parent folder which the ftp client should not access. If I try to access that folder (..), an error will show up (Directory /..: unknown error code; failed to retrieve directory listing)

Sometimes we will use some applications to login to FTP server, the application will try to make sure it can access every entry in home folder. When it tried ‘..’, it failed.

My question is: can we make that entry (..) invisible for FTP client? Since they are not supposed to access such directory.

    Thank you very much!

You cannot, but 7.0.5.3 has been updated to no longer show “..” when a user is at their root folder.
