How do I list files in a directory when using the windows xp command line ftp program – When I do a dir, I get 200 port command received, 150 opening data connection, another line that includes the directory name and a nother line that tells me that 63 bytes received . . . BUT, I don’t see the list of files.
Issuing the “dir” command from within the built-in Windows ftp client will give you the full directory listing. Remeber, the first directory you are in is the “virtual root.” You will only see directories in this top level directory. Smart FTP probably “cd”‘s to a default directory when you first log in. That’s why you are initially see files and directories with Smart FTP.
