    Hello,

    We’re trialing the Enterprise Edition software and are very happy with it so far. There is one minor thing we really would like to have so I’m wondering if this is currently possible. Can you disable the verbose connection output that displays the software name & version?

    Other FTP software we have used, which we expose externally, allow you disable the default onConnect Banner Message. We do not want to let outsiders know what software and version is being used.

    Example: say I issue an “sftp -v user@ip“

    Before I get the passwd prompt, I see this:

    Is it currently possible to remove the output above?

    Hello,

    You can disable sending the welcome banner for an SFTP listener from the Interfaces page of the Server Manager. Select the SFTP listener you are interested in changing, and you will see a checkbox for sending the welcome message.

    I probably should have included that. Those are unchecked. They were actually unchecked by default.

    I e-mail support, and they provided me with the simple answer.
