ParticipantSome users prefer to use an FTP client instead of a browser, and I thought that it might be useful to be able to remind them as well. So in a situation where a strictly-FTP-client user forgets their password, they wouldn’t have been given the reminder while they were able to log in, and in turn not be able to access the web UI to reset their password or configure the security questions.
Not sure if that’s possible or makes any sense, just a thought.

ParticipantThanks – is there any plan to apply this to the SFTP interface as well (assuming it’s a password based account)? a_cerberus_user
ParticipantTesting an upgrade from 7.0.10.1 -> 8.0.0.5, looks like it doesn’t automatically enforce the security questions being answered. Can you please point out where the setting is? I wasn’t able to find it in the 8.0 doc.
Thanks!

ParticipantHmm no luck so far. But I can’t say with any certainty that it’s not my fault as I am not that well versed with WSDL/XSD in a dotNet framework. I appreciate the responsiveness of the Cerberus team in catering to peoples’ wishes posted on this forum. If it’s a question of waiting for a future release that might feature this, I have no complaint at all.

ParticipantThanks I will do that. I eyeballed the latest from the site didn’t see anything different, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t updated! a_cerberus_user
ParticipantThat’s great thanks. I’ve had a look and am having some trouble implementing this. I take it it’s not part of GetUserInformationResponse?
Thanks again.

ParticipantThat’s understandable. Thanks for the update. a_cerberus_user
ParticipantExcellent, thanks! That makes perfect sense they they would be GETs only.

ParticipantI appreciate the quick turnaround, thanks! a_cerberus_user
ParticipantMany thanks for the fast response and consideration. Regarding the interval, once I have a chance to upgrade to v6.0.6.1 (or later) I will confirm the behavior and open a support case if necessary.

ParticipantI see that this feature has been made available, which is most useful, thanks. I’ve run this and it has helped me immensely. Would it be possible to modify this to specify which accounts or groups that it affects? An example might be:
Certain employees are not subject to inactivity lockout but other account groups are.
I also noticed that it seems to run once. Is it at all possible to modify this so that it runs on a constant basis, or perhaps on a schedule?
Thanks again.

ParticipantYes – I was hitting the ‘Save’ button and closing the management interface. We have two installations, so I can test for the behavior on the other one. If only one of the two is exhibiting the issue I’ll compare the two configs for any evidence.
