AD login, variable mapping

Post by thernlund » Wed Jan 13, 2016 9:20 pm

I need the username to be used in variable mapping rather than the UPN. That is to say, I need "asmith" to be consistently used as the %USER% variable, but not "" (if the user logs in that way).

Basically, the opposite functionality of what the "Use UPN for Home Directory for AD" checkbox does.

Is there a way to accomplish this?

If there is not, can I suggest that functionality be added in near-future updates?

Thanks! :)

There is no way to strip out the domain suffix.

Your only option which may not be fun would be to rename the home directories and enabling the "Use User Principal Name (UPN) for AD username variables".

That can be found under Users>Policy.
