Export Configuration Settings Automation

Post by jdpaylogix » Wed Aug 23, 2017 9:49 am

I'm looking for a way to automate the process of exporting Cerberus' configuration settings. Currently, I just utilize the "Backup Users and Settings" feature under Tools in the menu. Anybody have any ideas on if / how this is possible?

Appreciate any help. Thanks

If you are using the Enterprise edition of Cerberus this can be done.

Sure, but looking for non enterprise tips. I have the knowledge to create my own windows scheduled task to run a batch file. More or less looking for something I can utilize in Cerberus inside that batch file. Can the backups be generated through SOAP for example? Or perhaps there's a separate executable to achieve this that I can run via batch file and parameters.

The easiest thing to do would be to backup the C:\ProgramData\Cerberus LLC\Cerberus FTP Server folder and all subfolders and files under it. All users and settings are stored under that folder.

A complete restore of that folder will also restore all users and settings (assuming the server is completely stopped when you copy it all over).
