9.2 MACs cannot upload, 10 can; how to solve ?

Post by GodSpeed » Wed Mar 09, 2005 9:14 am

Cerberus srv 2.22 is installed on Win2kproSP4, running great.
WAN usage only, not local.
All required users can log in, upload and download.
Problem: when users on a MAC OS9.2 log in, they can download, and view items in the server. However they cannot upload.
This occurs not just on a single MAC, but on all of them running the older OS. (Different locations and all)
Also: the way the MAC logs in doesnt seem to make any difference... either using Safari, Explorer, FTP-Clients etc.

It seems strange to me that this is a srv side problem. But for my company its a great problem.
Is this indeed a client side problem, and how to solve this issue ?

MAC OS9 and OS X do not support FTP upload

MAC OS9 and OS X do not support FTP upload through the Finder. You must install a separate FTP client. I recommend the free "Cyberduck" FTP client for MAC... goodluck - George
