Account feature requests

1. We would like to suggest an option where accounts that go unused for a period of time (30,60,90,120,160,365 days) etc.. are automatically disabled.

2. We also would like to see some sort of auditing\approval function be setup in the Cerberus FTP application. The point of this feature would be to ensure that an account that was created for "user X" does not stay active indefinitely on the system regardless if they user is house in an internal (native) database or an external database (Active Directory). The user account would automatically send a notice to a designated contact "User R" who can review and authorize accounts for continued use in the Cerberus FTP application. Essentially on a reoccurring interval an email or report is generated which allows "user R" to disable or authorize and accounts continue use in Cerberus FTP application.

Hello,

#1 already exists under the User Manager's Policy page. There's a feature called "Disable account last login exceeded" where you can specify the days since the last login before the account becomes disabled.


The reporting capability in #2 already exists in the Report Manager by running an Account Report. Each native user and their last login time, and time since that last login, is listed for native accounts. We won't be integrating any features to mange login reporting for Active Directory accounts at this time.

Email reporting is planned for the next major release.
