"An invalid argument was supplied" during RETR

Post by chrispitude » Sat Oct 28, 2006 6:43 pm

I am using a Cerberus FTP server to supply files during an FTP-based installation of Fedora Core 6. (Cerberus is running on the Windows box, feeding files to a network linux installation on another box.) During the installation, I get the following error during a file transfer:

"An invalid argument was supplied"

Here is the appropriate log snippet:

What's different about the failing file retrieval versus the prior ones is that this one has a RESTart directive preceding the request. When I turned off "Use optimized file sending" in the Server Manager/Advanced options pane, the error no longer occurred. This sounds like it may be a bug with optimized file sending and REST, so I figured I'd post here.
