Improperly formatted FTP message

Post by tomcat2007 » Wed Jan 02, 2008 3:17 am

I am receiving the following message in the Cerebus log.

"Warning: Improperly formatted FTP message received"

The server is running on a fresh install of Windows 2000 Advanced Server SP4, running as a service, requiring secure control & data.

The client is Filezilla 3.0.0 running on Ubuntu Linux 7.10. and connecting via FTPS. The status is "Connection established, initializing TLS..." followed by "Could not connect to server"

These machines are on a private class-C LAN & the server is configured to accept connections from the proper IP range.

If any further information is needed to investigate this issue, please let me know. Thanks.

Hello,

This is usually the result of a firewall blocking or attempting to alter a connection to the FTP client. Check your firewall settings.
