Old password restored (vers. 2.43)

Post by massimo » Fri Mar 04, 2011 9:27 am

I still use the Cerberus version 2.43
I give the user the possibility to change the password via the PSWD ftp command.
But sometimes happened that:
an user has changed his password;
then he can access using the new password;
but after a period of time (one day or more) the password is not recognized, and he cannot access;
I verified that the old password was restored, because the user can access using the old password.
I don't understand why nor the reason of that.
Is this strange behaviour due to some feature of Cerberus?
Maybe can it be related to the NT Authentication?
Or is it a known bug fixed in the newer versions?

Thank you very much.

Version 2.43 is over 4 years old and is no longer supported. Please upgrade to the latest version to resolve any issues you are having with the SITE PSWD command. There was an old issue with that command that has long since been resolved.
