I used the rename command. The debug statements say

350 Rename from accepted. Waiting for RNTO
RNTO myfile.txt
550 access denied

the file name is however renamed. This is causing problems in our Unix script because we grep for errors.

Hello,

Can you send the Cerberus FTP Server log file to author@cerberusftp.com

showing the problem? Please turn on full logging so that I can get to the bottom of your problem. Thanks.

I am experiencing similar problems when I try to synchronize folders (using Allway Sync 9.2.11 Pro) under Win XP SP3:

[2009-04-26 15:39:51]:COMMAND [ 19] - RNFR /CVUT/_SYNCAPP/temp/4979C4B7.tmp
[2009-04-26 15:39:51]: REPLY [ 19] - 350 Rename from accepted. Waiting for RNTO

[2009-04-26 15:39:51]:COMMAND [ 19] - RNTO /CVUT/[48] VÝROČNÍ ZPRÁVY/2005/2006-05-29 VZ FS ČVUT 2005 koncept.doc
[2009-04-26 15:39:51]: REPLY [ 19] - 550 access denied

Filename and path are complex, with spaces and international characters.
How to make it work?

Try using the latest BETA version of Cerberus. It has support for UTF-8 format pathnames and should work if you client properly supports UTF-8.
