Problems with Symantec Firewall

Post by tjc154 » Mon Aug 24, 2009 9:09 pm

Hi,

I'm experiencing the following problem using the FTP Client with my Symantec Firewall client

When the Symantec Firewall is turned on, I experience connection stops at 227 pass (the operation timed out). I opened up PASV ports 1025-3500 on the FTP client and opened port range 11000-12000 on my Linksys Router as well as the FTP ports. Do I need to create a different rule on my Symantec Firewall to allow upload and download of files successfully?

Thanks,

Tom

I don't quite follow... Port range 11000 to 12000 on the Linksys router? I suppose the Linksys router is the one in front of the FTP server. Is that range the port range configured in Cerberus? I would sort of expect the range "1025-3500"...
