Upgrade Issue?

Hey there,

I have been using Cerberus for well over a year now to run a personal server for my website contributors to upload content and things have been going great. I recently upgraded to version 4 and since then I have not been able to connect...

Cerberus is telling me..

"Unable to accept passive connection"

As far as I can see the settings are all the same as they were when it was working... Any idea what might have gone wrong? All ports are forwarded...

Cheers
Hal

Hmm, can you post a log file from Cerberus showing the problem?

Thanks,

Ok,

The Online FTP Tester says

Code: Select all

CLNT http://ftptest.net on behalf of 98.196.31.253
"98.196.31.253" is your public IP address (and is verified by the Cerberus message "WAN IP detected as 98.196.31.253"). This is the address Cerberus FTP Server should probably be giving out to FTP clients in response to the PASV command.

Your PASV command response is

Code: Select all

227 Entering Passive Mode (98,197,99,37,19,210)
Your server is giving out the address "98.197.99.37". It should be giving out "98.196.31.253".

The next thing we need to do is take a look at your Interface settings for Interface 0 (IP 192.168.1.50). Since you have WAN IP autodetect enabled, the settings for PASV mode for that interface should be set to Automatic so that Cerberus gives out the WAN IP.

Can you verify Automatic is selected?

That seems to have cracked it - the server is back up and running well again it seems.

Thanks for the help... No idea how that got flipped... Awesome!
