How do I change the PASV IP address

Post by RossChappell » Tue Mar 20, 2012 3:20 pm

I am evaluating the Cerberus FTP server for possible use but PASV mode is not working. I appears that the problem is that the IP address being transmitted to clients is the default IP address of the firewall, not the external (Internet facing) IP address assigned to the server.

For additional information, the firewall supports multiple servers. The default IP address of the firewall itself is 208.xxx.xxx.10. The server is located at 208.xxx.xxx.83. Is there a place in the software where i can explicitly provide the correct external IP address?

Hello,

Yes, you can change the PASV address for an individual IP address in the Interfaces page of the Server Manager.

Make sure you change the actual IP, not just the Default FTP listener.
