I have never tested Cerberus FTP Server with Chinese characters, so I am unsure as to how successful you will be. I would recommend sticking to ascii for the time being. Improved international support is in the works.

If it can help - Cerberus works fine with russian letters (char.table 1251) - even with letter '?' (char(255)).
So probably possibility of using multibyte charsets depends on client.

When using hebrew characters, it is possible to logon (v. 2.15 on winXP) with hebrew user name and password, however, the box in the explorer window says User:??? (or however many characters the name was {they were converted to question marks by cerberus})

Hello,

Cerberus does not have complete support for international character sets yet. Please use ASCII.
