Interface Settings not saved

I cannot figure out how to get the interface setting to save. I need to change the port from 21 because my ISP is blocking it. There are 3 interfaces listed in the settings. The second one, the 198.xxx.... that I need to change keeps being reset to 21. I've tried setting it in the file interfaces.xml, that I found in two location in my Document and Setting folder. I know I had this figured out at one point, but after installing the lastest beta, I can't get it to stick.

I'm using WindowsXP and Beta 11
thanks

Hello,

The only file Cerberus looks at during loading and saving (on Windows XP) for the interface is:

Code: Select all

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Cerberus LLC\Cerberus FTP Server\interfaces.xml
for detected interfaces.

The default settings for newly detected interfaces is in:

Code: Select all

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Cerberus LLC\Cerberus FTP Server\settings.xml
However, you should never need to modify these files. You should be able to change the settings by selecting the "Interfaces" tab of the "Server Manager". Make sure you click the "Ok" button after changing the interface settings.

I have the exact same problem and am running XP PRO SP3.

When I update the interfaces for 1921 and restart the service, the local IP defaults back to 21.

We've discovered a problem in the latest BETA with the Default interface settings not getting applied to newly detected interfaces. If the interface you are having problems with a dynamic one that constantly changes IPs?

We should have a fix out soon.

I'm moving this topic to the BETA section where it belongs.

Where is this BETA section? I am not able to see it in the Index of the board.

If you go to the "Board index" you should see a "General" section and a "Beta" section.

It's no big deal, just trying to separate release and BETA problems/questions.

Okay.. I see it! I was looking for it in the description.

Do you know when this will be fixed and the new beta made available?

Thanks!
