Problem with connecting to server

Hello, i run Ftp server on my machine. When somebody wants to connect to the server as anonymous, the connection is established. But when i create specific user and give him password, i can connect as him from local machine, but when i try to connect from somewhere else (WAN), it did´t work. I am using total commander as ftp client. Pls help.
