One Client System Won't Complete Connection

Post by MrGadget » Mon Jan 02, 2012 4:38 pm

I am able to connect to my FTP server from different systems, but not from one (I have connected in the past, but can't now). I can see on the log page that the system is hitting the server, but this is what happens every time:

2012/01/02 15:02:43

[30] Closing connection: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.
2012/01/02 15:03:04
[30] Connection terminated

It happens again and again - and the folder/files never appear on the client. From other client systems the connection is instantaneous. Any suggestions?

TIA

Hello,

It looks like a common passive mode FTP problem. Have you forwarded the passive port range from your router to Cerberus?

Here are instructions:

http://www.cerberusftp.com/support/faq/ ... tup.htm#Q2

If that doesn't work, then you might need to use your internal IP address for passive mode instead of your public IP. Try this fix:

http://www.cerberusftp.com/support/faq/ ... ng.html#Q3

Thanks, Serin,

Specifying the PASV IP address did the trick!
