FTP Client Wants Server Address

Post by Dynamata » Sat Feb 04, 2012 12:22 pm

Client Connection Wizard:

"Server Address
Every FTP server has a unique address known as the Server Address or Host Address.

For Example:
mywebpages.comcast.net
ftp.hometown.aol.com

Enter the server address provided by your Internet Service Provider (ISP) or your FTP server administrator."

My static IP Address is: 192.168.x.x
My external IP Address is: 78.86.x.x

Which one do I enter or is there another? :|

Your external address, assuming you are trying to connect from outside of your network. You can use your internal IP address if you are connecting internally.
