Multiple Certificates

Post by Guardian » Tue Aug 06, 2013 4:28 am

We have three sister companies on separate Active directory domains in separate forests but with trusts in place located within the same building all using the same instance of Cerberus FTP, each cpmpany has a unique internal IP allocated to it on the Cerberus ftp server.
Each company has it's own ftp url eg https://ftp.companya.co.uk, https://ftp.companyb.co.uk for external clients that point to the respective internal IP address that we have set up for each company on the Cerberus server.
We have created and applied a CA certificate for one of the companies on the Cerberus server but now would like to know how we can apply two other certificates for the other companies on the Cerberus server.
At the moment it looks like the Cerberus FTP server can only have one SSL certificate bound to it even though it can run multiple listerning ports on multiple ip’s

Can someone confirm if this is correct and if it is not how do we apply more than one SSL certificate to the other ip addresses that we have Cerberus listening on?

Thanks

Hello,

You are correct that Cerberus FTP Server currently only supports one SSL certificate. However, you can assign a single certificate that contains multiple domains. These are called Unified Communications certificates, and most major CAs sell them.
