I am a z/OS systems programmer trying to get FTP with SSL/TLS to work with a z/OS FTP client and a Cerberus FTP server. I do not have access to the other end; I'm trying to tell a 'security administrator' what he needs to do (apparently not trained). He has _one_ self-signed certificate. He sent it to us, and we have it on our key ring marked for use as certificate authentication. I do not think he created this in Cerberus, however. My limited understanding of Cerberus docs is that he could generate a self-signed cert within Cerberus, use the path to that for all of the certificate things on the security page - certificate path, private key, _and_ CA path. Is that correct? And we would need it in on our key ring in order to trust that CA when our client sees his certificate, correct?
I'm sure someone somewhere has done this before, I'm not having a lot of luck googling it right now.
Questions dealing with specific FTP clients and Cerberus FTP Server.
