Specifying windows user when running event action executable

Post by jcross258 » Tue Jan 16, 2018 5:41 pm

Hello, I created a new event to run a custom exe application. I was wondering if there is any way to specify the user that runs the executable, in the same way that users can be specified when running scheduled tasks.

The exe runs fine if I run it myself (in a windows environment), because it uses my local username to run the exe, but hits a permissions snag when running through Cerberus. Hopefully there is a way to either specify the user that runs the tasks. Or, if I could also get the default username, I can add this user name to the windows folder security permissions as well.

Thanks!
John

Hello,

You will likely want to change the Cerberus service in the Windows Service Manager to an account that can run the.exe
