From what I've read (and from my own experience) here it seems that fireFTP and Cerberus do not get along. I can connect via net2ftp and verify that my copy of Cerberus server is up and running and see my files and directory structure. I get PORT COMMAND INVALID and UNABLE TO OPEN THE DATA CONNECTION when using fireFTP (although I can connect).
So I need a good FTP client....any recommendations are appreciated.
Questions dealing with specific FTP clients and Cerberus FTP Server.

It may just be that fireFTP needs to be configured to use passive mode, instead of active mode (PORT command). The problem is probably that fireFTP is sending Cerberus your local IP address and that is why the PORT command is failing. See if you can switch to passive mode, or see if there is an option to tell fireFTP to use your WAN address in the PORT command instead.
