The latest release from Cerberus by Redwood is all about Cerberus working smarter — not harder — for our customers. With better resource management and ease-of-use enhancements to Active Directory (AD) groups and Bootstrap 5, Cerberus Version 2024.4 will help users get an efficient start in 2025.
What’s new?
Enhancements to AD groups
Cerberus FTP supports AD groups today, but if a user has a very large number of AD groups, only a portion of groups may load or the group name may be cut-off. To support these users, we have made enhancements to AD groups so that they load fully and completely — even if the AD group has hundreds of members.
Enhancements to hardware resource consumption
For those of you using Cerberus for high-volume processes, things are about to get even easier. We’ve made improvements to resource consumption so the thousands of files you are sharing every day do not impact its performance. Ensure your processes continue during heavy load times and without interruption in Version 2024.4.
UX updates for Bootstrap 5 web client interface
Cerberus recently updated to Bootstrap 5, but the UX still reflects legacy software. To ensure security by using the latest versions available, this update aligns the web client interface with the current version of Bootstrap 5. Admins can toggle between the legacy UX or Bootstrap 5 as needed. Enjoy more modern UX in Bootstrap 5 as a user while admins retain the flexibility to switch back when necessary.
We hope these latest enhancements continue improving your experience with easy-to-use Cerberus. Learn how to download the newest version of Cerberus FTP here.
