Get better performance and know what to expect from your file transfers with the latest release from Cerberus by Redwood, version 2025.2. This release includes two new features and a quality-of-life fix with automations.

What’s new?

Support for Windows Server 2025

Threat actors often seek out outdated or unsupported software as easy access points for deploying malicious code or even ransomware, and unfortunately, Windows Server is no exception. To help better secure your Cerberus environment and mitigate the risk of vulnerabilities, this update allows Cerberus to be supported on the newest version, Windows Server 2025, enhancing Cerberus with the additional security, reliability and performance capabilities available from Microsoft.

Guaranteed performance benchmark

Knowing how Cerberus performs under stress is crucial for anticipating and preventing bottlenecks, as well as for disaster recovery planning. To determine this limit, the product team has tested the solution using the minimum amount of resources needed to run Cerberus to see how many connections it could support before there was an impact on performance. Cerberus excelled and was able to support 2,500 concurrent connections at one time (defined as connecting users and/or trading partners), outperforming many other FTP solutions today that tend to struggle at this volume level. Share more reliably and confidently exchange files while knowing that Cerberus can support 2,500 connections without degradation.

Quality-of-life fix: Standard time format for automation

Standard time is now shown when building automation tasks or reports, making them easier to understand at a glance.
